Back in July, the "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us" Facebook event took over the Internet and kick-started the creation of some of the best memes of recent times and had major media outlets trying to explain "Naruto running." It even went so far that the U.S. Air Force had to warn people against raiding the facility. 

However, on August 3rd the event page was removed by Facebook for violating community standards. Event creator Mathew Roberts posted a screenshot of the notice Facebook sent him of the removal of the page. He then created a sister event which gained about 15,000 followers before being removed again by Facebook. 

Roberts is now planning an actual Area 51 event which will be a festival in Nevada somewhere far away from the base and will take place on September 20, the same day the original storm Area 51 event was planned. After creating an event page for this festival, Facebook also removed the page. Roberts told CNET, "I think it's pretty reckless of Facebook, especially because I'm trying to direct people away from storming the base." He also told CNET that he thinks about 20,000 people will attend the festival. 

As of this morning, the page is back up and running on Facebook in its original form.
